Thanks to ongoing conversations, and a new
partnership forming between South Hams District Council, Langage Power Station
and Langage Energy Park Limited, a new thriving commercial centre should emerge
at Langage and include small business units for start-ups.
Since the original planning application for Langage Power Station was approved 20 years ago, there has been limited additional commercial development on the site. However, thanks to ongoing conversations with South Hams, that may now be about to change.
South Hams District Council has taken an active interest in promoting development on the site and working with Langage Energy Park Limited (LEPL) to agree a practical way forward for delivery, including the outstanding S106 obligations.
It is anticipated that a planning application could be submitted this financial year and that it will include 10 new starter units (30,000 sq. ft. of space), a unit for a commercial tenant (10,000 sq. ft. ) and a further unit (10,000 sq. ft.) that the Council may have the option to buy. All subject to planning permission.
