Strete Village Day
Each year, on the first Saturday in August, Strete celebrates ‘Village Day’.
This is a day of events organized by the community of Strete where everyone is invited, locals and visitors, to meet and join in for a day packed with lots to see and get involved in.
There are 2 outcomes to be achieved.
If you are in the area and are looking for entertainment stalls, events for children, events for your dog, a BBQ and Bar and much more, you are invited to come along and help make the day a success.
Please check out the images from previous Village Days to get an overview of what to expect.
The weather and everyone involved helped to make Strete Village Day a success.
A fabulous turnout from the community and visitors. So much fun had by all.
The children's sports events were well supported and everyone was a winner.
Thanks to so many who helped on the various stalls to make it such a great event.

On the 10th June 2016 at 7pm in the Parish Hall there is a meeting to discuss this years Village Day that is booked to take place at The Paddock of Mewstone on 6th August 2016.
Some time ago residents were asked if they would be willing to help out on the day as this is a village event designed to be attractive to residents and visitors alike.
Its success is down to the planning and organisation of the various events throughout the afternoon together with the help and support of as many people in the parish as possible.
If you are one of those who has volunteered to help, please be at the meeting on 10th June as this is where and when it all starts.
Thanks to you all for your support - Let's make it another great Village Day in 2016.
