Welcome to the official website of Strete in Devon, England, which is managed by Strete Parish Council. Strete is about a fifteen minute drive from Dartmouth. It is to be found on the high coastal ground at the eastern end of Slapton Sands. It's a good place to stay if you like exploring the local beaches and is also convenient for Kingsbridge, Totnes and Salcombe. Strete is situated on the South West Coastal Footpath and, with a variety of accommodation in the village, it is an ideal location to take a break in your journey. Take time to relax and enjoy the beautiful AONB surroundings.

Important Changes to Village Shop Opening Hours
Both Monica & Andy are committed to meeting the needs of the community.
From Monday 30th March the shop will be open daily from 8am until 1pm only.
This is as the result of demand for goods and daily delivery services to meet the important needs of everyone.
The afternoons will be spent delivering orders, stocking up and preparing for the next day.
Please keep placing your orders the day before for groceries, newspapers, etc., as this ensures that everyone's orders are delivered in full.
Whilst many will use the walk to shop as their daily exercise it is vital to retain the social distance from other people of 2 metres.
There is limited space in the shop so it may be necessary, therefore, to wait before entering if there are several in the shop.
By working together with Monica & Andy during this testing time we will ensure their ongoing support meets the needs of the community.
