Welcome to the official website of Strete in Devon, England, which is managed by Strete Parish Council. Strete is about a fifteen minute drive from Dartmouth. It is to be found on the high coastal ground at the eastern end of Slapton Sands. It's a good place to stay if you like exploring the local beaches and is also convenient for Kingsbridge, Totnes and Salcombe. Strete is situated on the South West Coastal Footpath and, with a variety of accommodation in the village, it is an ideal location to take a break in your journey. Take time to relax and enjoy the beautiful AONB surroundings.

Unofficial Account of the Meeting Held in Strete on the Slapton Line 19th May 2022.
Attendees: Anthony Mangnall MP, Roger English AONB, Julian Brazil County Councillor, Richard Foss District Councillor, Strete Parish Councillors, parishioners of Strete.
Anthony [The MP] attended to speak on the Slapton Line and address any questions. He has undertaken a number of meetings with local groups concerned about the future of the Line. There is a two-year adaptation project which is currently in progress to gather data and make recommendations on the future status of the Line. Roger was on hand to answer questions on the adaptation project and is chair of the Slapton Line Partnership which runs the adaptation partnership. The district and county councillors are members of the Slapton Line Partnership which runs the adaptation project. Two of the Strete Councillors are also members and the Chair attends.
