Welcome to the official website of Strete in Devon, England, which is managed by Strete Parish Council. Strete is about a fifteen minute drive from Dartmouth. It is to be found on the high coastal ground at the eastern end of Slapton Sands. It's a good place to stay if you like exploring the local beaches and is also convenient for Kingsbridge, Totnes and Salcombe. Strete is situated on the South West Coastal Footpath and, with a variety of accommodation in the village, it is an ideal location to take a break in your journey. Take time to relax and enjoy the beautiful AONB surroundings.

Strete Gate Car Park
New signage from Strete to Strete Gate is in place informing motorists of the parking restrictions in place along the A379 to Strete Gate.
Anyone parking on this route risks a £70 penalty.
Existing parking restrictions are in place on the access road from the A379 to the Car Park at Strete Gate. The restrictions are defined by double yellow lines.
Motorists should respect these restrictions to avoid a penalty notice being issued and to allow free flowing movement in the area at all times.
New signage is also in place to direct traffic to the official car park where there are 98 car park spaces.
Tickets must be purchased from the machine in the car park.
Charges are displayed on the machine.
