Welcome to the official website of Strete in Devon, England, which is managed by Strete Parish Council. Strete is about a fifteen minute drive from Dartmouth. It is to be found on the high coastal ground at the eastern end of Slapton Sands. It's a good place to stay if you like exploring the local beaches and is also convenient for Kingsbridge, Totnes and Salcombe. Strete is situated on the South West Coastal Footpath and, with a variety of accommodation in the village, it is an ideal location to take a break in your journey. Take time to relax and enjoy the beautiful AONB surroundings.

Slapton Line - The Future
The Slapton Line Partnership has organised two events to share future
plans for the A379 between Strete and Torcross.
The events will share information about how over recent years a
number of significant storms have appeared to quicken coastal change; the
vulnerability of the coastline to future storms and discuss what steps have been
taken to date.
Finally, looking at understanding and addressing the challenge for
the future road strategy, what this means to the community and the positive
steps that will be taken to make sure the future long term resilience of the
area.
All are welcome to attend the community drop in sessions, to be held
on:
- Wednesday 10 July at Slapton Village Hall - 3 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
- Tuesday 16 July at Stokenham Village Hall - 3 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
